Liv's Oyster Bar
Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT
Our smallest excavator barely fit between the buildings (building housing the restaurant and building housing Fred Astaire Dance Studio). The soil pipe for the restaurant needed to be replaced and it started about 30 feet into the alley. This job not only provided somewhat of a challenge, but it lent itself well to a set of unique photos. An H-20 tank and pump chamber were used in the parking lot and were topped with heavy-duty concrete risers.
Due to the fact that the machine could not swing, material could not be easily removed. This required a lot of hand digging and we filled the end of the alley up with a mountain of dirt about 8' high (can be seen below).
